Nice! Give those tigers some time to grow. Curious though, if it's only 4' deep right now, why would they have stocked tigers at this point? Also, what other fish would be in there for them to feed on?

Ken, that article was the latest update but was dated May of 2016. I'm sure it's a lot fuller now.

I get ya about CO trout and burning out on them...

I keep trying to broaden my horizon on other species. Prolly be easier if I would lay the flailing stick down but I am kinda hard headed and think I can catch anything on the floppy stick if I try long enough...but I would have to buy a whole lotta new gear too!! Like bait casters, jerk baits, spoons, spinners, boat, diesel pick-up, fish finders, gps unit, tackle purses, ect , ect.... LOL

PS

when you get rich, clue me in on how you got rich, PLEASE!!
I know a couple of guys that are pretty badass with a Flyrod and have put some nice other species on them. It's like anything else, IMO. You still need the right setup for whatever species you're chasing, whether it's gear or flail stix. The investment is gonna be there either way.

You should go fishing with us sometime. Come on over to the Dark Side...

No we (Wiper Addicts) were doing some follow up with the DOW about last years Summit and how many wipers will be stocked this year. One of the biologist told Greg that they had already been stocked them in Antero and that hopefully they survived this winter?

I don't think the goal is to build a great Tiger Musky fishery, but to control the suckers and allow Antero to become a world class trout fishery and not peter out over time because of the suckers.

I totally agree with the expense of getting the right set up and gear for what you target.

I like the looks of the Dark Side. You bring the Storm Troopers and I'll bring the beer!!

One of these days we will get together on the water...you all will laugh at my gear (hardware gear). It is so 1980's.

Mr Wiggleworm,

The lake is obviously frozen but it does have 15' of water in it. Yes it was stocked with trout last summer and from what I've heard 500 small Tigers were put in for sucker control. Snowpak is going great so far and I believe they'll bring the lake up to 18' or so this year. I wouldn't be surprised if the lake opens for fishing sometime this summer.
