I wish you luck. I would like to do a mini-bass series but the red tape involved is ridiculous.

It was  real pain getting everything in line to do this tournament.  I plan on dong a tournament series next year if all of the DOW offices will allow me to.  I am hoping that this tournament will be a success so that I will have the dow officer for Prewitt to back me up when it comes time to talk to others.  I would like to do Prewitt, Jackson, Chatfield, Boe deckers, and Jumbo.  I think this is going to be great!

Chatfield would be fun...
I would have a chance there lol

So far I have around 12 teams signed up.  I am expecting at the very least 15 teams, I just got back from the Big Mac and I put out some flyers there as well.  I would just love to have some folks from up north come down and donate some money to Colorado.  I am also gonna try and go to Sportsmans and Gander Mountain in Thorton tomorrow and hang flyers there tomorrow as well.

If I had ever caught a catfish in my life... I might be up for this... But since I have tried before and failed... I'll keep my $60...   Or maybe I'll go up to Black Hawk.

Hey catfish do you belong to Nebraska central catfish trail. These regs are just like theirs. I like it. If you are, are you doing the big mac tourney next week?

I have been part of their association for the last 4 years or so. These rules are partly from Cabelas King Kat tournament trail as well.  Craig (the director of Central Nebraska Catfish) has it set up so that they're tournaments are king Kat qualifiers so they follow the same rules as well.   Unfortunetly I will not be able to make the Big Mac tournament because my sons little league has their year end tournament on Saturday and I am the coach so I feel some kind of dedication to being their.  However I will make the Midway and Medicine creek tournaments.  Both of those lakes are great and they both hold good numbers of fish.  If you are thinking of going beware of these guys... They are the best at drifting blood bait and I have gotten smoked plenty of times by them when the water temp is close to 80 degrees.   Craig and the boys are great to fish with and you couldn't ask for a more well runned tournament series.  Craig actually grew up in Brush before moving to Nebraska so he knows how big the cats are in Prewitt.

If you are interested in doing any of these tournaments just let me know.  Or if you need any info on any of the lakes in Nebraska I would be more then willing to help on that as well.   I am ususally up there every other weekend at the least and I fish any where from Maconaghey to McCook to Lexington.
