If I had a snowmobile I'd try to hit up some of those high mountain lakes.

I was thinking about climbing up high sometime this week or next but I slipped and fell on my butt leaving the office today. I might be out of the climbing business for a while. Surely there are some small lakes above 11,500 that could support a guy now.

Oh yeah- prolly lakes like Murray or Square tops are frozen. Also Chinns or Saint Marys lake by the glacier. BUT- they just got like 2 feet of snow on top of what was already there. Its a heck of a lot easier to just wait 3 weeks or so.

went for a long drive around the Dunkley pass and Yampa area today, looking for some deer areas so a friend could hunt next weekend. Chatfield Res.- 90% froze: Sheriff's Res.- 75% froze: Vaughn Lake - 80% froze: all small beaver ponds are froze. Yamcola, Bear and Stillwater Res. open water but very cold.
