Default Coating your sled

Every year it seems harder to pull my 2 sleds all over a lake for some reason. Anyone got any ideas about something I could coat the bottom of my sleds with so the snow and ice doesn't stick to them? Thanks

* * *KM....Pledge furniture polish in the spray can. I use it for alot of things besides furniture. It is great for polishing chrome sidesteps on my truck & it helps keep the surface rust down to a min. Also I've heard Pam cooking spray works good for the sled bottom.

I will sand the plastic bottom of my ice hut with a high grit sand paper to get the big nicks out and coat it good with pam. I try not to get the sides at all because when I pack ice or snow around the bottom for an anchor I am afraid it will effect the outcome of my hut staying in one place.

I custom made an aluminum frame a little longer than my shanty base about a foot high that is mounted on an old pair of 220 cm snow ski's, waxed. Glides along a lot easier, doesn't push snow for resistance. Can put buckets and coffee stuff on the front end. Leave the front angle frame open to slide the shack base out when you get there. Works great!
