Yes, I went to Dowdy this morning, thank you Chris.I was there at 6.00am it was still dark I waited until 7: 18 to get on the Ice.The ice is 5+ ",so it is good, lots of noise it is making, moving it is I guess
Oh, man oh man the fishing is outstanding!! There were times when I dropped the bait into the water and had a hit right away,I fished in 11 to 12 F.O.T. and I will never, never ever go fishing with out my Vexelar FL18 again,it took me a little while to figure it out,but as soon as I did ,it was like playing a Video Game, unbeliverable this thing is,Guye's put it on your X-mas List right now, don't wish for anything else for this X-mas.
I used a Teartrop first, swiched to a Bro Bug and after that I used a Jiggle Bug whent on to a Eye-Dropper,all of them where tipped a one or two Mealworms, all of those namend are #12 to #8. Finished strong with a Buck-Shot Rattle Spoon-Silver Shiner 1/8 oz. Later in the mornig I also used my Under water camera, toghether with the Vex. it was great, seeing what is going on beneath you ,it is just beautiful to see how this fish moving with such grace, through the water, and also watching them how the approche the bait. and with the Vex. you now how deep they are. It was a lot of fun.Like my Gas Auger, the Ice hut, and the Heater!!sitting in 60* 60x57x58 room it is very confty.
I liked it so very much , I will do it again tomorrow, same place.
I was fishing from about 8:30am to 1:44 pm, and a total of about and I'm not laying 60-70+fish were caught and released back into Dowdy, some of them in the 14" to 16".
