Default Lone Tree anyone?

Has any one ice fished lone tree? I would say it is 90% frozen and many guys are walking setting up goose decoys on the ice. No one was ice fishing but I talked to a guy that was fishing the outlet with minnows he was catching little walleye. he was using an ice rod and he had punched a hole in the ice with some rocks but was standing on the concrete culvert. I would think that it would be the best way to fish this lake with the lack of cover.

Would icing a wiper be a kick in the batoozie, or what? I don't think my ice rods could handle it.

What a fun time that would be. I've lost a few poles to macks before, but I would have to anchor them to my truck for wipers! Lonetree sounds intriguing.

A ten pound wiper on 4 pound line through the ice...what kick in the shorts that would be...wipers are the reason I leave any rod unattended with the lightest drag setting possible...even if I am only going two feet away...

Went by Douglas yesterday at lunch. It was froze over completely, yet looked unsafe. I would think with this weather it would be a safe lid again, you might have to bring a snowblower with you though.

How did it blow up your reel?...bait casting and leaving it set to free spool and the Wiper did one of the zero to 90 in 2.2 second things they love to do?

Signed Hopeless Wiper Bigot...
