Default No suckers....what else can I use???

I want to head up tomorrow and go after some lakers but wasn't able to get any sucker meat before the storm. I don't know if it will be worth the drive with out some bait. Anything else work well on lakers? Shrimp, other fish meat? Crawlers? Power Bait?

I have used smelt, with good success. Go to Safeway or Kings. Good Luck

I have used a big gob-o-crawlers in a pinch on a white tube or bucktail... hard to beat suckers though.

Stop at Eddie Bears in Silverthorne. They usually have suckers, or They have rainbow smelt.

No... not if you fillet them, leave the skin on and cut in 1/2" x 1-1/2" strips. Hook the strips bout 1/2" from the end... starting w/ the meat side and hook through the skin. Get a BIGUN!
