Default Ice conditions at GM,WF, and Wolford

Sounds like the ice is not very thick at any of the above lakes due to all of the snow. I called the ranger station this morning to check on conditions and was told that there have been people fishing the inlet at GM but the ice over deeper water is definitely not safe. Called the Fishin' Hole in Kremmling and was told not to go out on either one yet. If you do try it, I would drill a test hole every 20 ft or so, and would not take a snowmobile out at anyone of them. Not trying to mess up anyone's weekend, just don't want anyone going thru. The inlet at GM is pretty good for trout and spawning kokes. KM

Well, talked to the King and he thinks that GM will be doable (?) tomorrow so we are going to try it. What do those rangers know anyway, they don't ice fish.

I hope your correct. I'll be out there tomorrow as well. I'll be in a blue clam shelter and I wear yellow bibs.

We will be in 2 ford rangers, one green and one silver. Don't know if my friends will bring shelters, I probably won't bring mine. I'll have a black Carrhart jacket and snow bibs on, we will probably be on the West side of the lake, hope to see you there!
