about a postage stamp size slab is good enough for fishing, there was plenty of sketch if you tried going towards sucker yesterday. super clear 5" of ice on that good slab though. I have a feeling that if people get too brave today with the snow that came in yesterday, someone will be swimming today.

Not to rain on anyone's parade but I don't get as excited about 11 Mile as I did when I was a young pup. Is it just me??

Lol. You'd have to tell me the places you do get worked up on in order for me to relate

I'm the same way PD. Same ole same ole. Long drive for bobos (although there are some piggies still there). Used to be fun when the average fish was over 18" and Antero was open to take off some of the pressure. Now I'll fish the river when the wife wants fresh trout and ice fish for fish tacos and eyeballs.

yah I used to ice fish the Mile 30 times a season. Back when I only fished for trout. Its still good from ice up till xmas then I don't bother too freekin cold. Its a ton o fun fighting a 5-6lb bow on 3" of clear ice you can see them fight the whole way in.
