Default Evergreen Lake

Anyone know what the ice status is there? Hoping to maybe hit it up Saturday as I pass by on my way to the in laws.

Thanks

I'm curious as well. The webcam has been down for awhile.

I can think of a couple small businesses you could call up there that would know. I think I've even called some of the restaurants ne t to the lake before to see what's up.

I saw a report that Evergreen Recreation isn't letting anyone on until the ice is 12" thick. Not sure if that's legitimate or not. I know it's been completely capped for a while.

Littleton has a 6" rule on its ponds. Those Nazis check it every day too!

I heard the same thing which is weird. Probably because of the past incidents with people falling in.

They dredged the whole inlet area this year, so it's much deeper (went from 2' down to 12' deep) and might have more current flowing out...definitely sketch AF by that area, so I'd say a 12" rule might be smart.

I have been going back and forth with the parks supervisor up there, I will post if I get any useful info. So far he just said they haven't measured, and its fish at your own risk. No mention of a 12'' rule so far yet.

Bandrews and I were fishing with my kids up there last year before it was capped. We were on 4-6" of ice but the inlet was still wide open.

Long story short the Sheriff paid us a visit and said some people had called expressing concern of kids on the ice. She was very nice and said we just need to be careful and that they would prosecute if something happened to the kids or us.
