Living in Teller county at 9200 feet this is my input.
South Park being lower in elevation but prone to lower temps than here.
We have had 3 mornings above freezing in the last 2 weeks.

Just call up to the guard station... I've bugged them a few times in the past about ice conditions and have never gotten cussed out.

I was up at Antero on Saturday (April 6th) with my son. The ice there was about 20" in most spots with no open water.

Went to South Park yesterday to pick up some things from our cabin/home there.
The 11 mile Facebook rangers post Bionic Man put up is accurate.
I agree, late April or early May opening.
A lot of the snow has melted but still in the shaded or north areas.
At our place the temps have been around 32 in the mornings with highs in the low 60's.
Today at 530 am the temp was 39.

13 degrees here this morning with an inch of snow.
16 by 11 Mile from local weather station.
