South Park Ice Conditions

Curious as to state of the ice for the Mile and Antero. Still have the itch to get on the ice one last time. Any update would be appreciated.

That is what I saw for their report last week. They haven't updated it for this week yet.

It will melt in due time my friend. I've never iced later than March; so, thought with the amount of ice we've seen this year would try and take advantage of it.

Hell, Blue Mesa will have decent ice thru April in my opinion.

Im usually pounding fatties open water at 11-mile by now. Im way done with ice. Although Ive had some amazing warm days ice fishing Granby in April. Ive ice fished Granby in May once.

I went up there last week and only the inlet was ice free. May check it out again this weekend then go to the canyon.

I was up there today, Coyote ridge area. Bluebird day fishing in my t shirt. Ice was good where I was, right up to the shore so didn't even have to worry about getting my feet wet getting on or off. Lots of folks out there today, not so much on other parts of the lake. Ice did get soft on top as it warmed up later in the day. As I was driving and looked across from the north side, it did look like a good amount of open water at Cross Creek and I saw an ice hut set up at the mouth of Suckers.

Check the weather report and keep an eye on nighttime temps. Warm daytime temps are one thing, but if it doesn't get down below freezing at night, night after night, then the ice will go really fast.
