Aurora res when they have safe ice! I usally get 7 jombos each trip. big 13inchers!

Dont think we will have safe ice to go in the 35 foot of water range for the jombos this year tho.

Would love to try Seaman's for Perch. From the reports, sounds like fat perch and trout. Wasn't the state record Perch caught there this past year?

The record was caught out of Seaman. I want to try and ice it this year.

If you get good ice on Seamans it is a great place for perch. I live five miles from the Res and have had some wonderful days there. I believe you can even use live bait there (just below 7000 ft). Small fathead really turn the perch on there. Some really nice ones there too, as stated earlier. It is a little walk in though.

Boyd for numbers. It is fairly easy to limit out and not have to keep anything under 9 inches. Aurora for size. 10.5 inch and longer fish are
the norm but they can be hard to locate. My experience is that you can get an occassional one over 13". My most recent trip netted 18 perch.
12 = 10.5 to 12 inches
3 = between 12 and 13 inches.
3 = over 13

Seaman Res. is five miles from Ted's Place (intersection of hwy 287 and 14) just NW of Fort Collins. Get there through the Gateway Natural Area.
