Default Realistic Game plan for the ice- don't blow it

How many bodies of water can you really hit effectively in one season? Unless your butt-buddies with ten guys who know 10 different lakes to the hilt, what lakes can you really expect to fish effectively, and thoroughly in the quest of bigger, smarter and better fish. It's easy... I dedicated to nailing my local lake- Ruedi Reservoir, with Blue on my mind. This year, I've got 6 days on Blue with another 6 in store, catching bigger and better fish each trip, with the Gorge on my mind. I know they're killing monters on the Gorge right know, but it's not realistic to do a suicide misson, 3 days in the parking lot when I'm working patterns and repeat succes on Blue,- realistic goals yield actual, calculated results- have you worked this method, or just pick a day, drill two holes and set up camp

we've hit all three delaney lakes this year too many times to really remember, over 15 times at least, lake john 5 times, cowdrey 3 times, seymore 4 times, wolford once, antero 7 times,11 mile twice, georgetown twice, and we have caught fish this year at all of them, but i have fished them all before, don't really have any good spots at some of them, we just get kinda lucky sometimes i guess..

Very Impressive- I have 27 days on the ice this year, a bunch of lakes on the western slope.

Since my fishing schedule is dictated by my wife and kids. I tend to go when I can, which isn't nearly enough, and build upon my experiences year over year.

I tend to fish a lake several times in a row till the hot bite stops or I just get bored.

This year Ive hit:
Antero-3
11-mile-4
A-town-10
Boysen-4
Sterling-1
Wolford-1

I used to ice fish 11-mile 25-30 times a season
I used to ice fish Wolford 15-20 times a season
It definately helps to fish a lot at 1 lake. It helps to fish from ice on till ice off you really get a feel for the best spots and best presentation.

I typically only ice fish new lakes with someone who knows it well or I have a map and a good compass. I hate fishing blindly! It's taken me a lot of years to somewhat even resemble how to understand underwater maps, but it almost always has put me on fish in lakes that I am unfamiliar with. And as you all know finding them is only half the battle.
