Default Trophy Ice Net?

I saw someone has created a new ice fishing net and Larry at 11 Mile Marina is carrying it on his website: http://www.11milesports.com/fishingreport.html

You have to scroll down to find it. Has anyone used one before and anyone care to give their thoughts on it? Looks interesting but not sure if it would work in an 8 inch hole as well.

I would think it would be easy to loose a fish due to getting wrapped up on the handle. I guess if you know your going to release it which is a good thing then why not but if your going to keep it then the gaff.

The only way you'll ever get those big line ripping bows in that freekin net is to play them to death. Then you gotta keep em anyway. ridiculous IMO.

I been designing a boot gaff like those hidden knifes in the tip of cowboy boots. All you have to do is tap the side of the heel and a mini gaff springs out. Once the gaff is deployed and the fish shows his head in the hole just kick it and bingo you just gaffed the fish. This concept is marketed more towards the solo fisherman.

I've been using a net for the last four years and it works great.

Didn't I see something like that in a James Bond movie or a rerun of the Wild Wild West?

I have one of those and it works great with 9 and 10 inch holes but not so much on the 8 inch, there isn't enough room to land the big ones. But if you have a big hole its awesome.
