Default Seeley Lake ice

I have been a very active reader and follower of this site and decided to get involved on posts and updates, finally! I try to ice fish as much as possible and the same for open water fishing.

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything on Seeley Lake in Greeley? Ice condition, fishing update, etc.

Thanks a lot.

I talked to a guy who works at Sportsman's Warehouse in Loveland and he said there was ice on Seeley. Not sure if it's safe though.

I don't know the conditions...........but here's a hint................fish the inlet area.......there's a "channel" that flows out from there. Also..........I'm not sure of the deepest spot in the lake.........but if you find it.........your golden. Seeley's has the most promising future of any lake in this area....................lots of fish have been stocked.........including wiper, tiger muskie, northern pike, rainbows and cutbows, channel cats, walleye, bluegill, largemouth, crappie, carp...........and I may be missing a few. I remember watching my dad and his buddy catch lakers one after another north of the parking area.............crazy to think that DOW once put lake trout in there....................but that was like 28 years ago.

Fished Seeley on Friday. Caught 1 bow and missed another, very slow.
Worked mealies on jigs and spoons with limited action.
Ice about 4.5 inches thick on the west end, but thinner as I drilled to the south.
Going to N. Park on Sunday for better luck and colder temps!

Icing Seeley is great...not many people at all, and you can't really see all the trash and junk that is there in the summer. And you can fish spots that you can't really get to in the summer. Like Jake said earlier, with all the species in there, you never know what you might get, and it could be HUGE!
