All I can say is be VERY careful on that lake (don't think it is iced up yet anyway). I went through the ice there last year. Drilled a hole in 12" of ice and walked not 5 steps and fell through. Gave me a new perspective on that lake. Personally, I am not going back there even though it is only a 10 min drive. If you do, don't go alone!

I think that could happen at any lake though...i think you just had a stroke of bad luck. glad your ok

I've never been comfy on seaman (except in a boat ).
I know 2 peeps that have gone though. Seaman is spring fed in spots and there are bubbly spots you need to watch out for.

I've seen it. The ice does funny stuff on that lake.

Yah I've been fishing thru 14" of solid ice there and counted at least 4 maybe 3'x3' openings. No reason for it . 38 ft deep near those holes.
