Default Another heater thread!!!

Has anybody else ever use one of these heaters? I've been using a smaller version for a couple years now and it works real nice. I just picked up one of these off eBay which was new still in box for $30.00. A buddy I use to ice fish with used this size and it would blow us out of the hut. I just might pick up a couple more, can't find them around town here, check it out !!!

That thing looks sweet, if it works as good as your friends I'm all about it. I'll have to buy one.

I got a similar one last year for Xmas (Coleman Sportcat). It comes with a base and the heating element. You just hook it up to one of those green comping propane cylinders. Only used it once last season, mainly to just test it out. Hoping to put it to more good use this season. I got the autolight one.

Here is a link to what it looks like. Most sporting good stores seem to carry it.

they're not cheap but the best, safest most reliable heater on the market today is the hotvent series made by Zodi. www.Zodi.com They are currently discontinued but are soon to release a more compact version with the same output. they are essentially a minature forced air furnace that pumps in completely clean heated air.

I forgot to mention, these heaters run on Coleman fuel not propane so they are a lot cheaper to operate since the fuel is cheaper by the gallon!!!

I have a Sportcat that runs on the cylinders. They are supposed to give off very little Carbon Monoxide. While I'm just guessing, I would expect that this older one is full blown combustion and produces Carbon Monoxide?

NADA!!! These are full catalytic heaters just like the Blackcat and Sportscat. I have two Blackcats also but prefer this type, seems to me it heats better and more even, plus a tank of fuel last forever.

That would be good.... no more guessing about how much propane is left in the old cylinder and cheaper too!
