Default thoughts?

so i fish this pond at my work during the summer time and do a killing for Crappies and release them good 10" size crappie... so today i fish it on Ice and Discovered that the deepest point of the whole lake is less than 4 feet. WOW. and the Ice was about 3-4" i drilled about 10 holes with out a fish finder and aqua-vu and dident even find any fish at all? do you think the depth of the pond can cause the fish to not even strike b/c its too cold??

I'd bet its all about real estate and structure. Where are the weeds when you cast out during open water? I'd try there.

Weird stuff man. My family has friends that have a pond in their back yard about the size of a basketball court with big trout and carp in it. Problem is that I havent been able to catch either one since about the second year after they stocked it. And I know they are still alive because you can see them. Anyone know why?

does the pond have an airater (a bubble maker) oxegen? if not then I agree with the last post sshhhhhh be very still don't move your asking these fish to take a lure 2.5-2ft. below your hole. a better idea is fish a bigger lake with better ice fishing conditions slayer will give you a spot to color in. lol j/k
