Default Alamosa

Not really familiar with the area, but brother is playing football down there and was wondering if any Adams State alums knew of any places to ice fish down there?

Smith res. just south of blanca. Fished down there a few times and tore it up over christmas. Nothing to terribly big, i think the biggest one i caught was just over 3lbs and the average was 16-17". It doesn't get a lot of pressure like the lakes around here though.

Great pic Hobie................I've been to those dunes numerous times................but I've never been to the shores of that lake. The dunes are a magical place...................something keeps me going back.

Besides the other two mentioned above:

1. Mountain Home Reservoir south of Ft. Garland
2. Sanchez Reservoir south of Ft. Garland and San Luis
3. Beaver Creek & Big Meadows Reservoirs SW of South Fork.
4. Home lake in Monte Vista

I never iced the following two when I was playing ball at ASC - not sure if the roads are plowed in the winter:

5. Lara Reservoir south of Del Norte
6. Platoro Reservoir south of Del Norte

Not as good as it used to be, but i'm sure it'll still produce. Watch the mercury warning for pike and walleyes
