I struggled to catch walleye thru ice last year, but caught on to it late in the ice season. A lot of meto impoundments hold walleye(Chatfield, Aurora, cherry creek, etc). Chatifeld basically sucks for me, havent fished Cherry creek enough to really know, but do fairly well at aurora. Obviously, walleyes feed mostly during night and twilight periods so try to fish at those times(aurora hours kinda screw ya over in this aspect). I have caught walleyes from 10 FOw water to about fifty but try to stay shallower than 40 feet cus I read somewhere that released fish have a hard time recovering when being pulled from depths tha are deeper. I generally fish with a jigging spoon tipped with a minnowhead, and than dead stick a live minnow on a small jig nearby. The theory is that the jigging attracts the fish, and positive or nuetral fish will hit the spoon, and negative fish will hit the deadtick. Ive seen this technique come up several times before.

Barr lake also holds walleyes but Ive never fished it before.

Good tips Lungbuster. Do you try to drill holes on your spots well ahead of the anticipated bite time to avoid spooking fish or is this not usually an issue for you?
