Default Auger Question

Just picked up this new auger, well new to me... Lady i work withs dad was selling it(he was in his 70's). Said he had only used it 8-10 times total!! I think they said it was about 10 years old.

I already have another auger that is about 10+ years old which is an Eskimo 8", runs great and has 2 blades, seems to cut alright(only auger I have ever used). I was wondering which would be the better auger?

The eskimo has 2 blades on it and the Strikemaster has only 1, makes me think the eskimo might cut better?

Not sure which one is lighter yet because i dont have my Eskimo on me at the moment.

Best picture of the eskimo I have right now:

Interesting. Check on the strikemaster website for more info. Looks like the same chipper blade kit as on the Lazer series. Curious to hear what you find out. http://www.strikemaster.com/

I have twin and I love it. I have had mine for about 16-17 years and never have had a problem. I sharpen my blades with a small auger blade sharpener. Mine gets a lot of use 15-20 trips a year. Drll baby drill!
