Default cordless impact for a power auger

I have been looking at the strikemaster electra but had anyone used a cordless drill or impact attached to an auger? I don't ice fish a lot but I like the idea of have an impact for use on the farm and a power auger.

don't think it would do very well with an impact. they make an adapter to put on a drill with a tether that you want to use if you get one or you could loose the auger down the hole.

That's a really nice looking impact wrench! If you don't have a cordless impact already buy one and don't look back, you'll love it and it's amazing how often you will end up using it. I love my Makita 3/8 inch impact, 9 volts but still going strong. I have hauled it out onto the ice to drive anchor bolts. I have a couple of Makita 1/2 inch drives (12 volt) that I don't use as much. But if you know tools, then you know already that there is a "right tool for the job." If you end up liking ice fishing you're gonna end up buying a gas ice auger!

That driver is 800in-lbs, not 800ft-lbs. Don't get me wrong, I have a 3/8th DeWalt driver myself. I love it. Just never used it on the ice.
