Icing Jefferson can be great. It doesn't get a whole lot of pressure because winter access is so hit or miss. When the wind comes up, it often gets up to 40 to 60mph. Then the huge drifts make it a problem to even get in to the main entrance. Last year a couple of guys got stuck in drifts and had to walk to town and pay big $ for a tow, at least one other guy spent the night in his truck, etc. There are times when the snowmobile guys can get in, other times when you have to have an ATV and a whole lot of the time when it just really isn't possible to get in at all unless you want to hike 7 up miles with all your gear. Try posting in the Find a Partner category when the time comes and see if anybody is going up.
There are always guys who want to go but sometimes it makes more sense to go to Granby!
