Default Mr. Buddy Clone at Home Depot

Saw a Mr. Buddy clone for sale at the Home Depot on Sante Fe/I25 yesterday, $75.99. Uses 1lb propane cylinders. The pic on the box showed multiple uses, including a shot of a guy fishing inside an ice hut. Branded as Dyna Glo "Tag-Along." It does have the oxygen sensor and tip over safety switch. They had about six of them on the shelf.

Hmm may go check that out at other HD's. Heater and lighting are on my list for things to have this year.
Thanks for the heads up!

The zodi hotvent heaters look great -- very safe. I've been wanting to buy one of those hot water heaters for camping for a couple of years. What a great design! But the small hotvent heaters are pretty expensive and appear to be NLA (No longer available) at this time.

I called Zodi and was informed that the new model should be available sometime here in October. They are expensive but can you put a price on safety? I myself will opt for the hotvent HP-the twin burner/20,000 btu edition. My plan is to sew a stovejack into the bottom of my hut to make hooking up the hose a breeze.

This is second hand from a dude I used to work with so take it for what it is worth!

He sold his at a garage sale cheap, b/c he had tons of problems with his Zodi in the blowing wind and high altitudes. Guess it would go out constantly and also freeze up and stop!

Though, I have heard great things about them for general use and during long camping trips it sure would be nice to take a hot shower once you start smelling yourself!!
