Default Brainard Ice Fishing

Iím thinking about going to Brainard this weekend. I went online to check out some info for the lake and it said fishing is from July to October. Does that include ice fishing? Any other info would be much appreciated. This is my first time going to this lake. Thanks

I don't know where this July --Oct. thing came from, but you can fish Brainard 12 months of the year. There are restrictions on the inlets due to spawning. This lake is nearly all brookies, with a few rainbows. I don't know if they even stock this lake any more. The DOW used to put quite a few rainbows in, but I have caught only a couple in the past three seasons.

I'd be up for trying Brainard this weekend or anywhere else not too far from Longmont. I've fished Left Hand Res but never Brainard. Got all the ice gear and don't mind driving (3/4 ton truck). Let me know if anyone's interested and knows of some ice.

Yo Fishlap, I'll hit up Left Hand with you. I bet in a couple O' weeks there will be decent ice. Long ass hike though and crappy wind to deal with.

We'll see what the snow looks like. I don't have any snow shoes. It would be a good place to ice though and I know another guy on here that would want to go. I might try to hit something this weekend if there's 4" somewhere. I have a whitetail hunt 11/14-11/21 then it's on for ice fishing.

Me me! I don't know if I can get out this weekend. But I'm gonna start going pretty regularly so if anyone is looking for some icing, I'm gonna be going a lot. I'm in Fort Collins, get in touch with me if you wanna go somewhere, I'm always down.
