For the last 15 years or so have I tied my own marabou jigs because I can't buy the colors I want, and the very, very small sizes are not readily available.

I really like Ratsos and Shrimpos, but hate the flimsy hooks they come with. The new jigheads I'm pouring with 2X strong hooks appear to have solved that problem.

Can't wait to give them a try!!

I started tying my own last month. I can't wait to try them out. I will have some tied on the jigs GFYODF poured this weekend. I'm just waiting for the paint to dry now.

I'm starting an ICE JIG project this weekend. I'll be using mostly chenille from Anglers Covey with weighted jig heads from Outlaw and a $21.00 Fly tying kit I picked up at the Warehouse.

Stopped by General Fishing Tackle the other day, Closed.

Dave and I did a Fishing show back in 1995 on KRDO

Buy Local when you can.

Don your jig held up superbly to a nice south park bow today. I just need to get some glow paint for the heads.

Cool, Tom! How big? Through the ice, or open water?

Ice- maybe 3 or so lbs. Tough bite today for me but Slayer was on his A game today. You really had to be right there with the slightest touch or they where gone. The weather was great and I tend to spread my rods to much when the weather is nice trying to cover bigger areas and rely on the dickies but that wasn't working today. I had 6 hard hits but they where always on the rod 8' away. We all got some fish and I will post some pics later Slayer has a few quality Cutts and there where some really nice bows and a few dinky Kokes
