Default Coveralls

I am a big fan of coveralls when ice fishing. Mine are getting old though. I wanna get some new ones for this ice season. Anybody else use coveralls?

If you had $100-$200 to spend, what type of coveralls would you get? Any good/bad experiences?

Up your budget $50 and go Ice Armor. They might even be on sale right now.

I think I paid $50 on sale for a pair of Cabela's bibs.....I've used them three seasons on the ice and every time I shovel snow at home. They work great.

They look like these (only a different color)....

The only ones left in the bargain bin though are Clint sized.

(and yes, I know they are classified as rain wear but I've never had a problem being cold in them and I've even warn them with just shorts on underneath while shoveling snow).

Yeah that's another reason that I want new ones. I got these when I was 16 and they are slightly undersized. I would WAY rather have them oversized. Thanks for the input fellahs. Anyone else?

By coveralls do you mean 1-piece? If so I like the black Carhartts. You will never be cold again.

Carhartts are great , Blizzard is good also, but the real key piece in the quote is buy black.

They will work fine for a while- But ya get what ya pay for. I bought a set of carhartts in 1990 and they lasted till 2001. And back then I fished 11-mile 30 times per winter without a hut. Used and abused those poor things and never had anything go wrong with em. Even at the end they were just tattered a little. Now the new school extreme carhartts-the black ones- are even better than the old brown duck type.

I really like the Carrharts. I've used the insulated bibs for a couple of seasons now and they work like a charm. Even kneeling in 8 inches of sluch on Granby.
