Default Ice Fishing Flashers

I am looking to buy a flasher for this ice fishing season. I am taking a
poll to see what everyones thoughts are on the three companys
product warranty, price, and how these flashers work on the ice for
them. I have seen a lot of talk on the marcum, but see the hummingbird
is equel in price, and talk. Thanks for polling as this will help me make
my mind up.

I know if you do a search, you will find this topic discussed several times with a variety of good opinions...I own a Vex FL-18 and love it but if i am close to another flasher of any brand it causes crazy interference rendering mine worthless...I understand that this does not happen to the Marcums...I would say the marcum.

I own a Marcum and just 2 weekends ago was using it withn 2' of a Vexilar(Prety sure it was an Fl- and neither of us had any interference at all!!

We were only fishing in 8-12' of water though. I even cranked my gain to maximum to try to make his get interference... and nothing!

Yah i have heard that other flashers will have some negative (interferince)on other flashers. I am going to the ice fishing show in ST Paul MN and hope to get a great deal on my electronics.

I am about to buy a Humminbird Ice 35, I have a Vexilar fl8 and love it. Im getting the Humminbird because of what you get for the money. The dual beam transducers for any unit is close to $100 and this comes standard on the Humminbird as well as the Marcum LX-5. The problem I have with the Vexilar is the price, they are very proud of there product and even there top of the line units do not have the standard features of a bottom line Humminbird or Marcum.

The Marcum has better options. The FL-12, as far as I know, doesn't have bottom zoom. That's a must for me, plus I own a VX-1 which I love.

Yah i was thinking the same thing. price is the key for me plus the water depth is in the center of the flasher..
