Default ice fishing guru's, please help me!

ok so last year i ice fished boyd late at night, and saw this on a consistent bases...

its all shad! as you can see, the school is about 3 feet above the bottom. i never caught anything while the school was there, but i know there has to be some predatory fish eating them. so i need your guy's help, and show me what im doing wrong. cuz seeing a school of shad that's 5 feet thick, should be a good sign.... right

I have had the same problem this year at CC and Atown. Shad or small bait fish who knows but I assumed the same thing over the years that something will come by keying on the bait but nothing ever happens. Maybe thats the problem to much bait and our offerings are laughed at next to the real thing.

Your Marcum is defective. Throw it in the hole, and get a vexilar. Then the ice fishing gods will shine upon you with many fish!

catch those liitle guys with a shred of worm on size 20 hook then put them on suspender rig. The suspender rig is a trebble hook in the face and another in the tail then take a sewing needle and tie the line to the skin on both sides of the top fin. anchor your pole really good and stay back about 30 feet. I have superstitions about fish spooking. Hope this helps.
