Default Deweese ice thickness

I'm new to this forum and I've never fished Deweese but I'm thinking of trying it out. How thick is the ice out there? I live not terribly far from it so it would be a nice quick trip spot. Thanks

We fished Deweese Wednesday and there was 8 to 10 inches of good ice on the south west end of the lake by the rocks. The lake has 6 inches of snow on it but is still slick in some spots. Landed 22 between the 2 of us in 3 hours.

Sounds like you had a great day. Good fishing. How was the road leading up to the lake, was it passable? I know it's been snowing a lot in Westcliffe so I wondered how it was. If you have to walk from the road to the lake its pretty tiring especially if there is a lot of snow. I fished DeWeese several times last year, but the trout were def. running much smaller than usual. What size were yours?

I've never iced DeWeese but iced Brush Hollow a couple of years ago. Only been to DeWeese once in the summer about 11 years ago.
