Default Antero

Just curious due to the amazing growth rates there. The biggest I have seen a pic of was a little over 13. With winter kill and the extreme pressure it gets I dont think one could survive more than 3 or 4 years max.

A trout over 15 pounds is more than the tackle and experience that most Antero anglers can handle IMO(I am probably within those ranks ), so a fish could certainly escape the gauntlet of anglers there to live long enough and there are certainly enough springs for a big smart old fish to hang out by and avoid winter kill. Sure alot of big fish die during winterkills there but I am willing to wager not all of them
