Default Ice at Barr Lake

Drove by Barr Lake today and saw a few huts out. Anyone gone yet? Tried to talk to the ranger but he demanded I pay the $6 to park at their station at the park entrance () Anywho, I'd like to hit it Friday morning if anyone's willing to stay close to town. Advise works too!

Went last night full moon from 10:00 til 4:00am just 4 a recon run drilln holes drop the cam see what I sees nothing but scuds all over top to bottom every spot I checked... So if you can find the fish they should be fat and happy good luck with them. The ice was 4-5 inches clear with snow cover Good Luck if you go

Thanks. We're gonna hit it early and start from the west side of the dam and work east.

Mr fixin..

Did you have any luck at Barr? I think of fishing there every winter, then I am afraid of thin ice. Need a fishing buddy, have portable clam if you do the pulling? In my recent past there has been a few beautiful 26 incher eyes that came out of there.

New to the forum. I've tried barr a couple times the last few days. only a couple hours each late afternoon (Friday and today). Didn't have any luck either day. Spoke with several folks today, none of whom had any luck either. We were near the east side of the lake. Will try the west side later this week, provided we don't get any more warm days. The ice today was about 4" with a fair amount of slush on it.

I did have a little luck at Jackson res Saturday evening, but nothing to get excited about.

Good luck out there.

Mrfixinfish

This week looks good for Barr... I have some good ideas how to catch those sneaking fish. Can you manage a week day? Dont necessarly want to head out there by my self (potential safety concerns). Evenings are fine and if you can coordinate a precise meeting time say near the entry gate I have the 'free' pass into the park. We could car pool for the last mile or so's. I live off of 104th and Grant. 20 minutes to the lake.

Will send via e-mail also

Mark
