Default ice: the thread

Drove semi close to willow creek inlet today.... It was pretty much capped.

Og was capped this weekend. Not safe yet... But soon.

If you aren't afraid, share some spots that are getting lids.

I will also say in northpark, that walden res. Was capped... Just in case people were wondering about northpark ice.

Since this is gonna be a thread that nobody wants to post in, ill indulge myself.

Drove by georgetown on the way up to copper mtn. It was frozen stiff, and it looks like no amount of wind will blow it off. Since its supposed to be cold up there a few days.... It looks like it might be safe. Same with og... It looked much thicker than what I saw on Saturday, and the rest of the copper mtn ponds got lids on them as well, finally.

Can't wait for Saturday morning.

walden reservoir is like 1 1/2 feet deep... if that in most spots, better give that deeper water some more time...

I was going to ask, I drove by it. there's a ditch that flows into the lake... can you even fish the lake at all? is it even worth stopping and throwing a lure? I go by there every week or so.

Drive by Cowdrey when you're in Walden. Its always the 1st one to freeze up there.

The road in can be interesting if there is snow...but the fish will be eager...after all they are trout...

I will. Hopefully the granby driver will have the day off soon...

UPDATE: just stopped at officers gulch (the og, since people don't understand the acronym)... The ice thickened up a pinch... I was able to walk out about 7 feet. I tested the ice in 3 spots with a crowbar. Both areas had 3 or more inches of clear ice. I know I'm an idiot. But I'm doing it for you. Hopefully it'll firm up better this weekend.
