Default Pond Ice Fishing Question?

I first wanted to start off by saying that I am new to this site and really like it so far! I was just wondering if anyone knew of some local ponds that allow ice fishing in the north metro area or further up north around the Lafayette area (I live in Thornton). With St. Vrain being closed this winter I was just looking for some closer places to go ice fishing. Any help would be great!

Well you might not get a bunch of replies but, for me, I like Boyd and lake Loveland, don't know much else for metro ice, the best advice I can give you is find some public water and try it out :/ sorry I couldn't be much more help. Chatfield would be a good place if you want to drive

Boyd would be a good choice heading north.

No ice fishing at sawhill. The rangers watch that place close and travel on horseback.

Ya, I kind of figured their wouldn't be many close places to ice fish. It is too bad so many of the ponds up here don't allow ice fishing. Thanks for the help though!!!
