Default Bought kit

I read the article and bought a kit. The advantage of using this system is that often fish that are C&R can become picky and not take the normal hand tied flies. The flies using this system are much more "natural". Also usually the time required to make the flies can be shorter after the one tying the flies become skilled using this system. The application tool (hot iron) has a temperature control on it and also the tool comes to a long sharp point. A must for using this system. It does require skill in using it correctly. Most flies require some of the same kind of material that is used in fly tying. A vice that rotates 360 degrees is needed as some of the other normal fly tying tools.
The kit comes with a DVD instruction for 10 patterns, also for an additional fee an additional DVD is available for a 5 more flies. If one is serious about using the HMG fly system to catch more fish, the DVDs fully explain every thing you need to know about tying each fly. On his web site, there are pictures of more flies he (Joe Nicklo) ties. Suggest if you are interested go the the HMG Fly System web site for more info. He is a very fair person to do business with and this is not a big money maker for him after he pays all of his expenses. (He is retired.) Hope this explains more what the system is about.

Slowly but surely Bugz. I did get a cheap fly rod and reel for free from my irrigation supplier this year so who knows..... Guess I won't hurt my wallet too much if I break it over a rock in frustration Kinda be like the new golfer hucking his clubs in the coarse pond when he shanks the first three strokes on a par 4.
