Well. New to me anyway.

I came across this PMD pattern while looking for pictures of the actual nymph. It seemed like it would be easy to tie and I thought it would get down quick with the copper wire. I am trying to reverse engineer this and would like to hear what others more experienced tyers think.

Orvis calls it the Wire Wonder PMD.

I think the pattern might be:

Thread - Orange
Tail - Dyed Mallard Flank - Yellow
Abdomen - Copper Wire
Wing - Flashabou
Wing Case - Pheasant tail fibers
Thorax - PMD colored dubbing
Legs - Natural Mallard Flank

Does that sound about right to you guys? Do you think this pattern would work well in CO?

Abdomen - Copper Wire--small or brassie

Wing Case - Pheasant tail fibers
Thorax - PMD colored dubbing
Legs - Natural Mallard Flank---or natural partrige.

Nice catch on the epoxy. I totally missed that. Also, thanks for your take on the materials Juan.

Now I just have to find some time to tie ???
