Default South Park Callibaetis

Just wondering if anyone has any particular Callibaetis patterns that tend to work well in South Park lakes (Spinney, Antero, Elevenmile). If you have any photos I'd enjoy seeing them!

When I tie Callibaetis, I want movement... the gills are so prominent on them, and if you ever see underwater video of them, the movement of the gills is what you see first... That said, I love Charlies Callibaetis because of the use of ostrich hearl... here is the link.. http://www.charliesflyboxinc.com/fly...m?parentID=103

I have also tied a simmilar pattern using three maribou feathers twisted for the abdomen... Tie it just like Charlies and then instead of using the "V" technique on the partridge, just wrap the partridge... this pattern may be my favorite cause it can represent so many differnet flies and the movement is just great. I hope this makes sense. I will try to get a picture up of this one. It is an easy tie.

Might want to give these a spin too. The name, apparently, comes from the material - the natural gray-brown ostrich herl found in, you guessed it, old fashioned ostrich feather dusters.

Here's a link to the site I grabbed the pic from. I haven't tied these in a while, but really pretty easy.

Hope this is helpful to you as well.
