Your Must Have, Must Tie Flys
Curious as to what everyone's "Must Have, Must Tie" flies are?
What do you need to have in your fly box, and feel compelled to tie?
Is it something easy and cheap like midges, or is it a particular fly that you love to catch fish with?

Re: Your Must Have, Must Tie Flys
Clousers - for chasing basses in Tejas
Hoppers with BHPTS's underneath for the Bream
BIG poppers for that top water action
White buggers, pretty big ones for the sandies
Red or green Mini Clousers for the Crappies
I'd side with DOK.1 on the small stuff in certain places, but I also like a BIG double bead stoner or streamer, depends on where your at.

Buggers, midges, streamers, emergers, micro- jigs( the filthiest of the dirty). Liking soft hackles lately too.

Re: Your Must Have, Must Tie Flys
Great responses, been a lot more diverse than I expected!!
Asked this at first because I'm tying a lot lately and so far have been using it to build up my midge, scud and caddis larvae collection. Mainly tying these because they're easy, cheap and not something I like buying for $2
But real excited to tie up some fat streamers to throw

Works great for me in lakes, especially brown. Haven't tried them in rivers.
