Default Best glue?

What's the best type of glue that you apply to your flies after the whip finish?

I think all head cements are about equal, but you can also try brushing a little super glue along the thread as you are making your whip finish.

Most head cements are pretty solid as said.

However, check out sally's hard as nails or zap a gap if you are tying big flies (big, not just woolly buggers, think bigger). They seem to do better for me with big stuff. However if you are just tying standard trout flies, any head cement is usually good.

Zap a Gap when I tie wit foam. Also a little on larger flies . On smaller ones, the whip finish seams to work without the glue.

Sally hansen hard as nails. I cut the brush down by about 2/3 at a angle. I can put it on small flies that way. I also use two or 3 coats on my shell backs. I have a BWO juju type nymph that I use black/purple ice dub as a shell back on. A few coats of sally's makes it bulletproof and really pops. And I dont have to mix up epoxy to do the same thing.

X2 unless the whip finish decides to look a little funky. Dab of Umpqua will do you.
