Saw mallards, water ouzels, and about a dozen mule deer
A #20 black midge floated in the foam off the sides of the current yielded 4 of these guys feeding on adults that were hatching out.
They jumped for them with enthusiasm.
Nothing huge, 8-10 inches, but it was great to get out away from the hustle and bustle and get my flyfishing mojo going again for 2014.
All fish released to swim another day.
