Default Stimi Tutorial

Here we go.

Materials : Hook TMC 200R or equivalent
10/0 or smaller white thread
8/0 or smaller blaze orange thread
dubbing of choice (make sure it dubs small; also I like bling
in mine)
Brown neck hackle 1 to 2 sizes smaleer than hook gap
Grizzly saddle hackle ( I like saddle hackle for the higher barb
count but necks are fine)
Med round rubber legs for #10-#12, micro or small for #14
Hair stacker (preferably two for time)
bobbins (same as hair stackers)
Half hitch tools ( whip finishers take some imagination around
the legs)
Elk Hair for #10-#12 fine deer or comparadun hair for #14
and below

Select your Hackle

Lay in your thread, start it about a 1/3 back from the hook eye this is your refernce stoping your' body dubbing and hackle and also for tying in the wing

Stack you tail material, amount of deer hair should feel about the diameter of a pencil lead for #12&#10, or about 20 hairs.

Tie it in short and make wrap up to where you started your thread with the hairs running along the top of the hook shank. Clip the butts even with the thread start point.

Tie in the body hackle even with the base of the tail

Pull out a small amount of dubbing a little goes a very long way

spin dubbing onto thread and wrap forward then palmer baody hackle to 1/3 mark

Stack your Wing hair, it should be 2 to 2 and 1/4 thicker than your tail and tie it in so that it reaches to the tail.

clip the butts at an angle so you can tie "down the slope"

Tie in the grizzly saddle hackle, select two rubber legs they should be as long as the entire hook shank, tie them in half way down the slope you have made

Pinch out a small of yella dubbing and dubb to 1 hook eye behind the hook eye tie off white thread

, tie in orange thread (4 to 8 wraps) it should rest right were you want to tie off your grizzly hackle. Palmer grizzly forward and tie off and a drop of sally hansens to head.

Nice. I like the use of ice dub and rubber legs, I'm going to have to tie some up!

Nice tie bones... "yella" you kill me man!

Good stuff, and thanks for taking the time to post it up.
I wish people wouldn't whore out Colorado waters for the sake of notoriety.

Very good job, Bones. Good pictures. I'm thinking it might be time to try tying them again.
Thanks for the tutorial.

Got Fish?
More importantly, SET THE HOOK!

I still say he married me because he took me ice fishing and I still wanted to go fishing with him again!
