Default DIY marker bouys...because I'm cheap!

Hey fishing gets expensive, so to save money and because I'm tired of losing them I decided to make my own marker bouys.

Materials:
Pool noodle (any color)
Masonry twine
1oz. Egg sinker
3" galvanized nails

Cut noodle into 7" sections
Cut twine into 50' lengths
Wrap twine around center of noodle, I melted o groove with a lighter first.
Tie egg wieght to twine (I used 2 1oz weights)
Insert 2 nails on both ends of noodle to counter wieght the bouy so that it stops spinning when the weights hit the bottom.

I made 4 bouys for $5

Your welcome!

I have a friend who uses small clear plastic bottles for the bouys. Stealth and the freekin jetskiers dont steal them.

I like to use marker buoys as decoys since they attract fishermen like flies to horse shit. Find the fish...place the marker buoys 30 yards or so away...use them to reference your position and let everyone else go drive up ..onto..and past your buoys.
