Default emergency floatation device for waders

Being an old guy, I want to get a little older. Wading out in some deep lakes it seems there is always that point where the bottom drops off suddenly. I was wondering if there was some kind of device that is unobtrusive that one could wear in case of the accidental dunking especially in very cold water.

I use this duck hunting.

Haven't had to pull the cord yet but it is fairly comfortable (for what it is) and provides the mobility needed to get the job done (dispatching ducks). I initially wanted an auto inflate but did not have it in the camo pattern I was looking for. Went "manual" but if color isn't an issue, for a few bucks more you can get an Auto vest.

There are some cheaper alternatives, like Eyson but can't vouch for their comfort.

IMO Mustang makes some great products (its what I put on my kids) but I have been pleased with this Onyx vest for my purpose.
