Looks nice but too fancy for my blood. I'm old school. I prefer the feel of good old organic cork.

Internet was being shitty to me earlier so I posted the pics and called it good. The blank is a Kistler High Modulus Zbone 2 piece blank, made by North Fork Composites. High dolla stick, but it feel every bit as good as the price, which is rare for a two piece. The EVA is cross cut EVA that is normally put on surf rods custom cut and trimmed out. The seat is a SK seat, it's smaller than most, so the difference in size between the seat a EVA is more pronounced. It is getting a set of American Tackle microwave guides.

Super cool rod.

Is there a reason the guide is so much bigger than the hole, or is it just for looks? (They look pretty sweet and I've always preferred undersized guides)

Sweet! Glad you like it. I just did my guide placements on my twins, one new concept setup and one microwave, I will be wrapping them next so I can do cast distance testing and see how well it fares.
