Default Shorefishing Horsetooth

Im looking to get into fishing so i have the basics but im looking for advice on types of bait or lures and the best locations to shore fish at horsetooth. Im a total noob so any advice will be helpful.

I've never fished Horsetooth.. but I know there is a TON of smallish bass in there... I'd say try a Tube!

I like Gitzit tubes from Walmart I know there are plenty of other good tubes out there i just have done good with Gitzit... i bought this assorted pack from Walmart:

Really though your options are almost unlimited!! Find a lure you like to use and stick to it... Confidence is key!!

Keep an eye out for rattle snakes! Like he said...tubes are a safe bet. Fish places that have good sized rock.....but stay off the dams. West side is tough access on foot....but possible in spots. Keep the trout.

I'm mostly curious about the walleye. Anyone fished eyes from shore?
