Well the first one is in the books. A special thanks to all who made the effort.

Left to right Buiscuits Dad, Glen(sorry I forgot your screen name, Short term mem. been on the blink for a while), Tthe pikester, Kastmisser and his dog spirit in front of me and of course my wife the phographer we did take a pic with her in it but she told me not to post it.

We picked up a ton of trash and made the place look a lot better. Got to know each other a little bit, and had a good time. Got some thanks from passers by, and a few looks from some like maybe we were convicts. I think next time maybe I'll see if I can get some shirts made up(no verticle stripes).

Kastmisser won the Rapala Muskie rod.
Glen won the Grandma crank bait
Buiscuits Dad won the X-rap and gave it to Tthe Piketser(said he would never use it, maybe someday he'll have a change of heart).

We may combine this with a bbq and a half day fishing outing at the next. lets have some input.

Thanks for getting this rolling, dogbreath. It was a good feeling making a trashed out lake beautiful again. A bbq for lunch would be great, maybe a few people could bring grills and everyone could bring their own food to grill. Of course anyone who wanted to stay after and fish could do so, but a little fishing contest would be fun.

* * *It was really great getting to meet everyone that showed up! dogbreath and wife did a great job on the organizing of the event.* Some of the things we picked up were amazing, beer cans with the old fliptop lids, a pair of glasses, dirty diapers, a pair of boxer shorts, a walkman and $.30.* We had a lady walking her dogs stop and ask if we were doing this because we wanted to or did we have to...LOL...guess being across the street from the Fed. prison this was on alot of peoples mind. We told her about this site and explained we were just concerned fishermen, alot of thanks were given by passer byers!!! Great job & see everyone at the next event!*

Great job guys,.
I missed the post for the gathering.

I will attend when down south.

Pick a lake, and it could use a clean up.

* * Funny story... Yesterday told my dad about the trash clean up & he started to chuckle. He told me back in the early "50's" he & his buddies use to party at night at Harriman. One of his buddies one night missed a curve on his way into the lake and ended up going through a fence into a farmers field, the farmer didn't call the police but made them come back the next day and pulled the car out with his tractor then made them fix the fence!* I told him there's no farms around there now and we prolly picked up their beer bottles!!!* He thanked us all!* *LOL

I would much rather see a crew @ Long Hagler, Simpson Ponds, or Big Thompson Ponds. Much more needed than any of the others listed

Okay. If we pick one of those lakes, will you be there?

* * Ditto on what Biscuits Dad stated! It would take alot more than just the 6 of us to do Lon Hagler or the Big Thompson ponds! Step up and join cause!* *
