Default Pueblo outting

Well the outting is done, everything was great, except for the wind and the fishing. the meet went off very well, there were some no shows, but the CDOW officers, were great they gave a nice talk on how we can help them, and also talked about lake pueblo, and enforcement in general. after that they took questions. then we went to the hatchery and had a very nice tour. the tour almost disn't come off as the person who was going to give us the tour, had a heart attack and passed away a week ago last monday. a young tech.named brandon steped in and did a great job. i am going out tomarrow morning and will post, the you shoulda stayed another day report, we are going to nail them in the morning.

Friday night, Mark and Joe shared there camp fire with me and we told some fish stories.
Sat. Joe and Mark woke me up, so I took off for some shore fishing. To windy for my canoe,
Did catch a little 5" SMB on a real worm. Then I went to the dark side and caught a 14 7/8 inch Trout on power bait. Tossing bait upwind was hard work.
Family elected not to fight the wind and we missed the hatchery tour.
A day fishing is better then watching the neghbors yard sale.

Walleye Seeker thank you for organizing the outing......I had never been to Lake Pueblo, and never seen a fish hatchery.
I was able to catch this Wiper Sunday morning....along w/ a yellow perch and a few small LM bass....

I got down there at about 4:00pm on saturday (had to work friday night). I got to meet a few new people Joes Dad, Kirbydog, Kurtopia, Jess, Sandy, and 16fttracker... Zman, Dan, and Pueblowiperman, Quickrelease, and I rounded out the crew.

A bunch of us fished Saturday evening - I caught the first (for my boat) it was a nice small mouth at least 2-3,,,,,,, inches. Quickrelease caught a small wiper, a pound or so. Zman is quite the gentleman, he hooked my next fish on to the hook for me. Baiting a hook is one thing Z, but putting the fish on my hook, and then releasing it for me to reel in is a whole nother level. Quickrelease and I were fishing with Zman, Pueblowiperman-joe and Dad, 16ftTracker(who has a lowe) and his sleeping son, and Dan and and a wife who was also sleeping. Anyway it was kind of slow fishing, but there was good entertainment.

Zman can cook to by the way! He cooked up some wiper/zuchini dinner for us all, yummm, Thanks Zman, we drank a few beverages as well.

Saturday morning Quickrelease and I were up at 6:00 and met Joes dad at the dock. We tried for wipers of an hour or two, then we left the area and tried for walleyes, then wipers again, then walleyes again. We caught some small perch and called it a day.

Thanks to you who organized this "fish-together"-

Met a number of folks including walleyeseeker, kirbydog, kurtopia, jess, Dan, the Wit brothers" (Dim, Nit, and Half), javier, Brent, and others. Kirbydog and I managed a couple of really nice spots on Saturday afternoon. (That's what we agreed we'd say about them, right kirbydog?) But that wind was too much to fight, so we retired to the campground for a few adult beverages. A bunch of n ice folks!

Thanks again!

Well it was a fun time!* (besides getting stuck with a ton of shirts!)

Anyway, Myself, Don in Denver, Kirbydog and Jess finished our day fishing on Saturday by congregating at the group camp spot.* Rumor was that Zman and Pueblowiperman (Mark & Joe) were the only ones camping, and there were only 2 tents, so I have to assume that there was there temporary homes!

And man, I got to say, those two must have had a great time by the looks of things.* Me and Kirbydog went over to check out their setup, and we were amazed these guys even fished on Saturday!* They must have been hurting big time!* An no respect for the logo t-shirts on top of it, they were laying around everywhere!

Trashy, Trashy, Trashy!!!!* *LOL

Man YOU TWO!* You should be ashamed!* Kirbydog was especially distraught over the situation! *He could barely even contain himself he was laughing so hard!

I told you guys that Zman would summon a tornado. All those cans must have blown over to them during the storm.

Good job Zman on doing the right thing and wrangling those cans from the twister and saving them for the recycling bin. Hopefully you didn't get pelted by any of them.
