Default Elevenmile Res.

I will be fishing Elevenmile on 09-20-06. I would like to catch Pike. Ay points you recommend this time of year.....and tips will be greatly appreciated.. I promise to post a detail report with lots of pics.

back to the topic...I would say fish the west end and just cover water and explore those weedbeds and drop offs.....I assume you are on a boat? I picked up a few like this casting a #5 mepps spinner with a red/white blade last weekend but nothing bigger than 24" didn't even worry about a leader just tied straight to 8lb test with no bite offs. I also don't think you can go wrong just using a plain old spinnerbait. good luck and let us know how you do. Now should be a good time to get um.

do yourself a favor and use a 20 lb floro leader or try some of that hard mono as leader. also do yourself a favor and refrain from using steel leaders. Jerkbaits like X-raps and husky jerks always are great choices, as are buzzbaits and large panther martin spinners.

good advice TFB I usually do the flourocarbon thing....and I would have kicked myself if I would have lost a big fish because of it.
