Default Twin Lakes/Mt. Elbert Forebay

And any fishing surrounding this area...

Buddy has a cabin up there and we are going up this weekend to stay a few nights. Will have the kids with us (two 6-year olds) so we can't exactly get on the Arkansas with our fly gear. I will use anything... Fly rod, spin gear, lures, bait etc... no boats though.

So anyone have tips for getting some fish out of these lakes and possibly some rivers up there? Kid friendly stuff from shore if possible.

Powerbait, fireballs, and mallow-worms from shore. ANd Kasty's, never hurts to throw them.
